Just 20 miles from Charlotte Center City, or Uptown, sits the small suburb of Indian Land. It is an unincorporated area and therefore isn’t measured by the US census bureau. A previous vote in the spring of 2018 has an estimated population of around 19,000, making it one of the biggest municipalities in the area. Indian Land is a part of the Lancaster County school district which has 12 elementary schools, five middle schools, and five high schools. The Indian Land area has many parks and nature trails to enjoy. With the parks varying in size from a minimal two acres to an incredible 60, there are activities to fit a variety of interests.
